Manager, Business Development

About the role

Ethoca, a Mastercard company, is looking for a Manager, Business Development to drive revenue growth within its global merchant division. Reporting to the Vice President of Account Management, you will lead the expansion of existing merchant relationships and identify new opportunities across Ethoca’s product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the renewal sales process and secure up‑sell and cross‑sell opportunities for existing merchant accounts.
• Lead contract negotiations and close deals to ensure long‑term, scalable growth.
• Deepen relationships with key client stakeholders and increase account stickiness.
• Drive platform adoption and optimization of Ethoca solutions.
• Coordinate internal sales approvals with Sales leadership, Product, Legal, Finance and Client Services.
• Collaborate with other Mastercard business lines to uncover additional client‑aligned opportunities.
• Handle commercial escalations to provide rapid resolution.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and account planning, engaging senior leadership to meet shared goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling to enterprise‑level stakeholders in the payments technology space.
• Track record of meeting sales targets, renewing long‑term contracts and expanding existing accounts.
• Strong commercial mindset focused on growth, optimization and portfolio expansion.
• Proficiency with CRM tools to manage and grow the sales pipeline.
