Maintenance Technician

About the role

Zen Residential Ltd. is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to keep our residential properties safe, functional, and welcoming. You will work directly with site staff, residents, and property managers to address a wide range of maintenance needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems.
• Use Yardi software to log, track, and close maintenance requests efficiently.
• Prepare vacant rental units for new occupants, including painting, fixture installation, and minor renovations.
• Diagnose and repair issues with boilers, furnaces, hot‑water tanks, and plumbing fixtures.
• Install blinds, light fixtures, doors, cabinets, and countertops; perform caulking and grouting as required.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to handle urgent maintenance emergencies.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in residential property management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑service mindset with a focus on resident satisfaction.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a Police Information Check.
