Maintenance Coordinator – Boutique Hotels

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator supports the Engineering department of the Loden and Arden Hotels, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Systems, the role blends proactive upkeep with responsive guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a courteous ambassador when addressing guest maintenance concerns.
• Oversee daily preventative tasks such as plumbing, fixture, door and window maintenance, and light and room fixture upkeep.
• Maintain HVAC units, air handlers, and filter changes on a regular schedule.
• Coordinate with external vendors on special projects while performing basic repairs in guest rooms and public areas.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Handle guest work orders, preventative maintenance, and emergency requests promptly.
• Perform interior and exterior upkeep including pressure washing, painting, snow/ice removal, and seasonal grounds care.
• Identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance experience in hospitality is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with guests and team members.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative attitude with willingness to support other departments.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 23 kg (≈ 50 lb).
