Mail and General Services Technician (SP-02)

About the role

The Canada Revenue Agency is seeking a Mail and General Services Technician to manage the flow of mail and material across its offices. This on‑site position supports internal clients by ensuring accurate handling, distribution, and disposal of mail and related supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, verify, inventory, store, issue, distribute and ship mail and material.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail, count and record all remittances.
• Maintain statistics on mail volumes and input data into established collection tools.
• Report damages, shortages and deterioration of material.
• Collect classified waste from clients and prepare it for destruction.
• Dismantle, move and erect office enclosures; provide basic maintenance, moving and storage services.
• Operate material‑handling equipment, including motorized and non‑motorized forklifts, and drive light and heavy vehicles.
• Provide guidance to agency clients on material handling and mail services.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on‑site in accordance with CRA requirements.
• Physical ability to perform lifting, moving and equipment operation tasks.
• Flexibility to adapt to workplace arrangements and accommodations as needed.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (motorized and non‑motorized).
• Light vehicle driving.
• Heavy vehicle driving.
