Mail and General Services Technician (SP-02)

About the role

The Canada Revenue Agency is seeking Mail and General Services Technicians (SP-02) to support the handling, processing, and distribution of mail and materiel across its offices. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a commitment to inclusive service and compliance with federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, verify, inventory, store, issue, distribute, ship, and dispose of mail and materiel.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail, including counting and recording remittances.
• Collect classified waste from clients and prepare it for destruction.
• Dismantle, move, and erect office enclosures.
• Provide guidance to agency clients on materiel handling and mail services.
• Perform basic maintenance, moving, and storage tasks.
• Operate material‑handling equipment such as motorized and non‑motorized forklifts, and use light and heavy vehicles.

Required profile

• French language proficiency is essential.
• Ability to work on‑site five days a week; remote work is not permitted.
• Willingness to complete the Employment Equity and Diversity Inclusion (EEDI) staffing questionnaire.
• Commitment to safety and confidentiality when handling classified waste and sensitive mail.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (motorized and non‑motorized).
• Operation of light and heavy vehicles.
