Long Haul Truck Driver – International Routes

About the role

We are seeking a reliable long‑haul truck driver to transport goods across provincial, national and international routes from our Saskatoon hub. The role involves operating flatbed tractor‑trailers, planning efficient routes and ensuring cargo safety while complying with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and computer systems to minimise fuel use and emissions.
• Load, secure, tarp and unload cargo, ensuring safety and security.
• Obtain special permits and required documentation for cross‑border trips.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections of vehicle systems, including tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment.
• Drive manual‑transmission tractor‑trailers on long‑haul, provincial and international routes, including overnight and weekend travel.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence with Air Brakes endorsement.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass criminal, medical and drug tests.
• Valid passport for cross‑border travel.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of long‑haul driving experience.
• Physically able to handle loads up to 23 kg and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently on the road.
