Logistics Specialist

About the role

Samsung SDS GSCL Canada Ltd. is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage and optimise the operational logistics for its freight forwarding activities in Mississauga. The role involves coordinating shipments, supervising a small team, and ensuring compliance with cross‑border regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Compile customer orders and develop prioritisation plans to meet tight deadlines.
• Oversee day‑to‑day logistics operations, track shipments and monitor movement of supplies between departments.
• Coordinate activities with other units, prepare progress reports and train staff on policies.
• Ensure compliance with cross‑border dispatching regulations and manage dispatch communications with vehicle operators.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 year program) related to logistics or supply chain.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
• Ability to supervise 3‑4 team members and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• SAP modules (FI/CO, HR, MM, OT, SD).
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and the broader MS Office suite.
