Live-in Caregiver for Persons with Disabilities

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position provides live‑in care for individuals with physical disabilities in a private home in Edmonton. The caregiver lives on‑site, receiving room and board, and supports the client’s daily living activities while ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and dressing.
• Assist with feeding, nutrition planning, and preparation of therapeutic meals.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor health status.
• Support mobility, including pool access and weight handling (61‑80 kg).
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean living space.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 1 to less than 7 months of experience in disability or special‑needs care.
• Availability for flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
• Non‑smoking work environment.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
