Licensed Practical Nurse – Full-time & Casual Positions

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily tasks within the scope of practice defined by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Complete documentation, charting, incident reports and access resident information in Point Click Care.
• Administer medications according to care plans and MAR, documenting appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents, employees and organizational data.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations involving residents or staff.
• Supervise other staff when required and provide end‑of‑shift reports.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Pharmacology included in basic LPN program or completed an approved Pharmacology course.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and under pressure.

Required skills

• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Medication administration.
• Use of Point Click Care electronic health record system.
• First Aid certification.
• CPR certification.
