Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection‑control policies.
• Adhere to the NSAHO Scope of Practice and maintain confidentiality.

Required profile

• Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check (within the last 6 months).
• Current Standard First‑Aid and CPR certification.
• Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program and registration with the CCA Registry.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English, physically fit, reliable and punctual.
