Learning & Development Manager

About the role

This strategic position leads a centralized Learning & Development function for a global, decentralized workforce. Based in Canada, you will design and deliver learning programs that drive employee growth, leadership effectiveness, and overall organizational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with HR and business leaders to assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and create scalable learning strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve leadership development, management training, and enterprise‑wide learning initiatives.
• Oversee compliance and mandatory training in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring effective administration, reporting, user engagement, and program delivery.
• Develop communication and engagement plans to boost participation and adoption of learning initiatives.
• Establish governance, prioritisation, and operational rhythms for learning projects.
• Monitor outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend data‑driven improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of learning professionals.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, or Human Resources.
• Proven track record managing learning programs and partnering with business leaders.
• Strong background in leadership and management development program design and delivery.
• Experience across the full learning lifecycle: needs assessment, instructional design, development, facilitation, implementation, and evaluation.
• Solid understanding of adult learning principles and modern learning methodologies.
• Change‑management certification or formal training.
