Lead Designer – Senior Creative Lead for Digital Agency

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level Lead Designer to own the creative output across our digital agency’s client portfolio. Reporting directly to the agency owner, you will translate concepts, rough visual directions, and strategic goals into multiple compelling creative options, enabling clients to choose from strong ideas rather than a single safe execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own design output from initial concept through final delivery for all client accounts.
• Translate loose direction into several distinct creative directions quickly, allowing client feedback and selection.
• Produce brand‑caliber creative for national accounts, matching the visual standards of large agencies.
• Maintain quality control across all design work, reviewing and elevating work produced by other team members.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across copy, specifications, calls to action, and brand guidelines.
• Partner closely with the technical lead on projects moving from design into development or production.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual range, polished execution, and experience with high‑stakes brand projects.
• Senior‑level conceptual ability to generate multiple creative options from a brief.
• Ability to work quickly and consistently, delivering strong first drafts that need refinement rather than redesign.
• Fluent with AI creative tools and a clear process for using them to generate, evaluate, and finalize concepts.
• Confident client‑facing presence, capable of presenting, defending, and adjusting work with senior marketing stakeholders.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – deep expertise in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Working fluency with current AI creative tooling.
• Figma (strongly preferred) for UI/UX collaboration.
• Motion graphics, animation, or video capability (a plus).
• Comfort with email design and build.
