Junior Interior Designer

About the role

B+H Architects is seeking a motivated Junior Interior Designer to join its Toronto studio, focusing on corporate workspace design. The role offers the chance to work alongside senior designers and contribute to high‑performance, sustainable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce compelling proposals and presentation materials with the design team.
• Assist senior colleagues in client meetings, presenting concepts and design solutions.
• Develop space‑planning layouts that meet program requirements and building codes.
• Create 2D and 3D design concepts, including high‑quality renderings.
• Research and recommend finishes, furnishings, and materials that align with aesthetic, functional, and budgetary goals.
• Prepare documentation for selection, specification, procurement, and installation of furnishings and equipment.
• Support the production of design development and contract documents using Revit and AutoCAD.

Required profile

• A degree or diploma from a CIDA‑accredited Interior Design program.
• Up to 3 years of experience in an interior design or architectural firm.
• Membership with ARIDO or a comparable regulatory body.
• Progress toward NCIDQ and LEED Green Associate certifications.
• Strong portfolio showcasing workplace projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (planning and 3D modelling).
• Experience with 3D visualization tools such as Enscape and Sketch‑Up.
• Competence in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
