About the role
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing daily food preparation and service operations, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and to high quality standards. This role involves coordinating staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean, compliant kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and production targets.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
- Hire food service staff as needed.
- Ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit operational reports.
- Establish and adjust work schedules.
Required profile
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Proficiency in English.
