Kitchen Helper – Food Service Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Helper to join our fast‑paced restaurant team. You will work on‑site in an urban setting, supporting food preparation, service, and kitchen cleanliness while receiving on‑the‑job training.

Key responsibilities

• Transport clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Carry and replace linen, clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
• Load buspans, operate dishwashers, and hand‑wash items as needed.
• Prepare, portion, wrap, and heat simple food items; wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
• Stock refrigerators, salad bars and replenish condiments at tables.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies; manage kitchen garbage and maintain floor cleanliness.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as conventional ovens, deep fryers, food dispensers and grills.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn and work in a physically demanding, fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks, stand for long periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lb).
• Strong team player with reliable attendance and client‑focused attitude.
