Junior IT Support Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Technician to join Amico’s growing IT department. The role offers hands‑on technical work supporting a diverse user base across construction job sites, field offices and corporate locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 technical support for Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices and other end‑user issues.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, workstations, laptops and mobile phones using Intune and Azure AD.
• Assist with employee onboarding and off‑boarding, ensuring proper access and asset management.
• Support job‑site connectivity, including trailer network setups, switches, access points and cameras.
• Maintain IT inventory, asset tags and software licensing documentation.
• Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Perform software installations, updates and patch management.
• Participate in hardware refreshes, imaging and equipment upgrades.
• Deliver friendly, customer‑focused service to on‑site and remote employees.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of IT support experience (internship, co‑op or help‑desk role).
• College diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Networking or Computer Systems.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting abilities.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence for travel to job sites.
• Interest or experience in the construction industry is an asset.
