Junior Fire Systems Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Fire Systems Technician to join our fire and life safety team in Red Deer. This entry‑level position offers on‑the‑job training and the chance to develop expertise across fire alarm, sprinkler, extinguisher, and suppression systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with inspection, service, and basic troubleshooting of fire protection systems.
• Support repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks as directed.
• Help prepare inspection and deficiency reports.
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, and general job‑site duties.
• Maintain company equipment and vehicles.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Participate in scheduled inspections and service work.

Required profile

• Strong willingness to learn and take direction.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑driven.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical or technical aptitude.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings.
• Interest in fire alarm, sprinkler, fire extinguisher, and fire suppression systems.
