Junior Fire Prevention Technician

About the role

Start your career in fire prevention with Community Fire Prevention Ltd. as a full‑time Junior Fire Prevention Technician. You will learn to inspect and test fire extinguishers, emergency lights, fire alarms and sprinkler systems while shadowing experienced senior technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual and annual fire inspections in accordance with the 2018 BC Fire Code and applicable CAN/ULC, NFPA and CSA standards.
• Complete electronic inspection reports and related documentation accurately and promptly.
• Communicate daily with internal teams and external parties regarding inspection details, project delays and status updates.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, product changes and best practices.
• Provide a next‑level customer experience and adhere to core values and OHS protocols.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic individual who values customer satisfaction and teamwork.
• Electrical/electronic or mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid BC driver’s licence and ability to work 40 hours per week (overtime/on‑call as needed).
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
