Junior Designer – 3D/2D Marine Modeling (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Junior Designer to join Serco’s fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary marine design team. You will help create and revise 3D and 2D functional and production models and drawings for ships, vessels and boats.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D/2D models and detailed production drawings for hull, structural steel, mechanical equipment, pipe, HVAC, electrical, and interior fit‑out.
• Collaborate with the Design Lead, customers and internal Serco teams to ensure design quality and compliance.
• Generate manufacturing information that meets Serco and client standards, quality, and engineering processes.
• Maintain clear communication and timely exchange of information within the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of 3D modeling or 2D drafting experience in a marine environment.
• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency and ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status clearance.
• Proficiency in ShipConstructor and experience with commercial, Coast Guard or naval vessels.
