Junior Civil Technologist – Field Services

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Civil Technologist to join our St. John’s office and support field services across Newfoundland and Labrador. The role is ideal for a recent graduate who wants hands‑on experience in surveying, construction inspection and municipal infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and progressively lead topographic and infrastructure surveys, including site investigations, measurements and field documentation.
• Support construction inspection and resident‑services assignments, maintaining accurate daily records and inspection reports.
• Operate, care for and organize survey instruments and other field equipment safely.
• During non‑field periods, process survey data, prepare AutoCAD and Civil 3D drawings, and assist with municipal design, quantity calculations and cost estimates.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics or a related program (students in final term considered).
• Introductory experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D through education or co‑op work.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout NL, including remote sites.
• Strong organizational skills, safety‑conscious attitude and ability to work independently or in a team.
