Junior Associate Director, Client Onboarding Solutions

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, which provides asset servicing solutions to the global investment management industry, is hiring a Junior Associate Director for its Business Data Office in Halifax. The role manages and executes system setups and data implementation or migrations for new and existing clients and funds, ensuring excellent client service and adherence to MUFG policies and procedures. It is a newly created position with a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of system and static data setup for client onboarding and conversions
• Create funds and clients in the appropriate systems from offering documents and best practice
• Load fund NAV and share registry information for conversions and resolve discrepancies with data analysis and visualization tools
• Help create and maintain standard operating procedures and simplify client data processes
• Take part in initiatives with Technology, Product and other stakeholders to digitize and automate data ingestion and maintenance
• Review fund launch stakeholder meetings and perform and review internal accounting and shareholder service system setups
• Ensure compliance with ISAE/SOC standards for onboarding and conversion of new funds
• Assist with data cleanup, bulk ingestion and data migration, complete internal checklists and sign them off

Required profile

• Post-secondary education or university degree with a concentration in accounting
• Demonstrable experience in public accounting, private equity or related roles such as administrator, investment manager or fund auditor
• Project experience, including leading or holding a senior role in onboarding, conversions, data migrations and digital transformation

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Familiarity with data analysis querying tools and concepts
• Experience with Investran, Advent Geneva, Mantra, Flexcube and Yardi
• Strong technical accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills
