About the role
The Janitor will report to the Maintenance Manager and ensure the cleanliness of all laboratory areas, offices and common spaces at our Vancouver facility.
Key responsibilities
- Clean all offices and the lunchroom daily, including garbage removal.
- Maintain washrooms by replenishing paper supplies, soap and paper towels.
- Perform general cleaning of laboratory areas and floors each day.
- Collect and dispose of waste from various departments, excluding the digestion area.
- Follow occupational health and safety legislation, company policies and ISO standards.
- Wear required personal protective equipment and act safely at all times.
Required profile
- Completion of high school.
- Some experience in janitorial duties (preferred).
- Good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
