IT Support Technician – Temporary (4‑month contract)

About the role

The municipality is seeking an IT Support Technician to serve as the first point of contact for staff technical assistance. This full‑time, temporary position offers a flexible schedule and the possibility to work from home for eligible employees.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, log, and resolve hardware and software support requests from county and municipal staff.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, document solutions, and close support tickets efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Services IT team on various projects and ad‑hoc requests.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with county policies, including a required police record check.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Technology or a related field.
• Valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical support experience.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and customer‑service orientation.
