IT Support Technician

About the role

Alto is seeking an IT Support Technician to serve as the first line of support for internal users. Reporting to the Manager of IT Operations, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring a smooth IT experience in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support to end‑users, including hardware, software, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Log and manage incidents in the IT service management system, escalating when necessary.
• Assist users with setup and configuration of computers, printers, and mobile devices.
• Monitor IT systems and infrastructure to proactively identify potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records of support activities, incident reports, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or degree in computer science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, AZ900) are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Windows and iOS operating systems.
• Basic understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in Canada’s official languages is a plus.
