IT Operations Administrator

About the role

Hootsuite is seeking an IT Operations Administrator to own a core part of how the company’s employees receive IT support. You will work closely with the Global IT team, act as an escalation point on the service desk, and build automations that make IT operations more efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as an escalation point for complex Helpdesk tickets and own service‑quality outcomes for a defined queue.
• Build, configure, and deploy hardware, focusing on complex and project‑based work.
• Administer multiple core platforms (identity/SSO, endpoint management, IT service tooling) and support AI tools following data‑handling standards.
• Manage the identity lifecycle (joiner, mover, leaver) and access across connected systems.
• Create and maintain integrations, automations, and workflows to reduce manual effort.
• Mentor junior staff, document procedures, and contribute to the knowledge base.
• Participate in incident handling, on‑call rotation, and ITIL‑aligned process improvement.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in IT operations, endpoint, or systems administration, preferably in a SaaS or distributed environment.
• Working knowledge of identity and access management and SSO solutions (e.g., Okta).
• Experience with endpoint management tools such as Jamf Pro or Microsoft Intune.
• Strong administration experience with Google Workspace and Google Admin.
• Demonstrated depth in at least one area (identity, endpoint, or service management) and a desire to deepen expertise.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
• Understanding of ITIL or structured service‑management practices and experience in an agile environment.
