Invigilator – Exam Proctor

About the role

The Invigilator will support the Department of Biology at McGill University by preparing examination rooms, supervising mid‑term exams, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of exam materials for multiple biology courses.

Key responsibilities

• Set up examination rooms according to specific requirements, including equipment and seating arrangements.
• Administer the delivery of exams, distribute papers, and collect completed materials.
• Monitor students to ensure compliance with exam regulations and address any questions or concerns.
• Alert the professor promptly if issues arise during the exam.
• Collect all exam materials at the end of each session and verify that nothing is left behind.
• Report back to the professor and ensure secure delivery of completed exams.

Required profile

• Understanding and commitment to confidentiality and security of exam materials.
• Adherence to McGill University policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with reliability, punctuality, and dependability.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Invigilating experience is an asset.
