Investment Analyst – Real Estate

About the role

The Investment Analyst will support the evaluation and performance monitoring of existing assets and new investment opportunities within a leading Canadian real‑estate portfolio. Working closely with the Investments team, you will contribute to financial analysis, valuation, underwriting, and market research for acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, update, and assess financial models for acquisition and disposition candidates.
• Provide analysis of the existing portfolio as part of the ongoing dispositions program.
• Research and summarize market trends, demographics, competition, and infrastructure for various projects.
• Incorporate third‑party findings (e.g., cost consultants, geotechnical reports) into analyses.
• Complete due‑diligence activities to verify investment details.
• Support preparation of presentations and approval packages for management and investment committees.
• Assist the Transactions team during closing of acquisition and disposition transactions.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in commercial real estate.
• Post‑secondary education in finance, commerce, accounting, urban development, economics or real estate.
• Strong passion for real estate and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
