Key responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor and support Parliamentary Guides, including coaching, performance feedback and day-to-day guidance.
  • Coordinate daily tour operations across four locations to ensure effective scheduling and smooth service delivery.
  • Support recruitment and deliver training so guides meet operational and service standards.
  • Respond to visitor inquiries and manage reservation requests.
  • Deliver guided tours and program services to diverse audiences with accurate, engaging and professional interpretation of parliamentary activities.

  • Experience supervising staff, including training, mentoring and giving feedback.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, preferably in heritage, tourism or hospitality.
  • Experience managing competing time-sensitive priorities, resolving conflicts and delivering historical or cultural interpretive programs.

  • Able to work frequent weekend and occasional evening shifts, up to 7 consecutive days, indoors and outdoors, and to work on site every day (no telework).

Required skills

  • Experience delivering training to new employees.
  • Experience using ticketing or booking systems and managing reservation requests.
  • Experience developing work schedules for part-time staff.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required; a second-language evaluation is part of the selection process.

Candidates must provide a cover letter explaining how they meet the education and experience requirements, and must pass a security screening and a second-language evaluation. Travel and relocation expenses are the candidate's responsibility.
