Internal Auditor – Aviation Risk & Compliance

About the role

Join Air Canada’s Corporate Audit & Advisory team as an Internal Auditor. You will help safeguard the airline’s governance, risk management, and compliance by executing audit and advisory engagements focused on NI 52‑109 internal control testing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and perform NI 52‑109 internal control compliance activities, including design walkthroughs and operating effectiveness testing.
• Develop, execute, and update test procedures using data‑analytic tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Document findings, conduct root‑cause and impact analysis, and draft actionable recommendations.
• Follow up with control owners to ensure remediation actions are implemented.
• Provide ongoing consultation on internal‑control best practices and risk implications of procedural changes.
• Support other service lines by participating in business, operational, IT audits, risk‑management, and compliance engagements.

Required profile

• University degree in Business or related discipline, or a college diploma.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CIA, or CISA.
• Experience in internal or external audit, preferably with NI 52‑109 exposure.
• Strong business acumen, analytical abilities, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NI 52‑109 internal control standards.
• Proficiency with data‑analytic tools for audit testing.
