Intern Architect

About the role

This internship is designed for recent architecture graduates or students working toward licensure. You will support senior architects on small‑scale projects, gain hands‑on experience, and receive mentorship throughout the licensure process.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Architect to develop design concepts.
• Prepare architectural presentation documents and visualizations.
• Research building science, sustainable design solutions, and project‑specific requirements.
• Conduct building code and zoning bylaw research and provide support.
• Assist in preparing contract documents in coordination with the design studio.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited program.
• Registered with the Alberta Architectural Association (AAA) or actively working toward registration.
• Self‑motivated, able to assume increasing responsibility and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong creative design abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Enthusiastic team player who thrives in a collaborative setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in 3D Max.
• Proficiency in Sketch‑up.
• Proficiency in CorelDraw.
• Proficiency in Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Illustrator.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Alberta Building Codes, building systems, and materials.
