Intermediate Hydrogeologist

About the role

BluMetric is seeking an enthusiastic, detail‑oriented intermediate hydrogeologist to join its multidisciplinary team in Ontario. The role involves planning, executing and managing hydrogeological and terrain‑analysis studies for a variety of clients, including land developers, municipal agencies and industrial operators.

Key responsibilities

• Design and supervise field programs such as borings, supply and observation wells, groundwater and soil sampling, and pumping tests for dewatering, water‑supply and environmental impact projects.
• Integrate and analyse hydrogeological data, develop conceptual site models and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Prepare and review high‑quality technical reports in English, and contribute to peer reviews of hydrogeological studies.
• Develop proposals, manage project budgets, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Participate in business‑development activities and maintain communication with clients, regulators and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences, Geological, Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s in hydrogeology is an asset).
• 4–7 years of experience delivering hydrogeological, ESA and remediation projects for mining, industrial, private and government clients.
• Strong knowledge of geology, physical and chemical hydrogeology, contaminated‑site delineation and Ontario environmental regulations.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel locally and nationally as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingualism (French) is a plus.
