Intermediate Engineer/Designer – Mechanical Design

About the role

The Engineer/Designer – Intermediate will contribute to product development by creating detailed mechanical designs that meet performance, cost and durability targets. You will work with cross‑functional teams to turn concepts into validated hardware ready for production.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project activities and develop detailed product designs.
• Create CAD models, drawings and supporting documentation using company standards.
• Perform engineering analysis with hand calculations, FEA software and other tools.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate design risks.
• Plan and support prototype builds.
• Verify and validate products through lab and field testing, including occasional travel.
• Support purchasing, manufacturing, quality, publications and product support functions.
• Review, approve and release drawings, models and related documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of mechanical design experience in agriculture, construction, forestry, mining or similar sectors.
• Familiarity with electronic and hydraulic control systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures.
• Experience managing multiple projects to timely completion.
• Understanding of mechanical components, hydraulic and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Mechanical aptitude for both hands‑on work and design.
