Income Auditor – Hotel Revenue Specialist

About the role

The Income Auditor will join the finance team of two boutique hotels in Kelowna, ensuring that daily revenue, cash handling and payment reconciliations are accurate and timely. Reporting to the Property Controller, you will play a key part in safeguarding the integrity of the hotels' financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post daily revenue journal entries in the accounting system.
• Audit revenue postings across all hotel services and verify cash drops and tip contributions.
• Investigate cash and credit‑card variances, reconcile credit‑card and gift‑card transactions, and resolve Moneris‑related issues.
• Track daily gratuity and due‑back liabilities, and perform monthly reconciliations of cash balances, tip accounts, operational packages and floats.
• Assist guests with credit‑card payment disputes and support other accounting functions as needed.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of hotel PMS software (Lightspeed/PEP preferred) and POS software (Squirrel preferred).
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, hotel, or food‑and‑beverage environments is an asset.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work independently or within a team.
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada without restriction.
