Inclusive Child Care Worker – Aspire Program

About the role

Join BGC Okanagan’s Aspire Program as an Inclusive Child Care Worker, supporting children and youth with diverse developmental and support needs in a group‑based social recreation setting. You will work across our Central Okanagan clubs, delivering inclusive activities that promote growth, learning, and community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in assessment, goal setting and program planning for each participant.
• Support children with a range of support needs in childcare, after‑school, or life‑skills programs, implementing strategies from the inclusive childcare consultant.
• Facilitate physical, recreational, educational, social and vocational activities.
• Identify and connect families with community services, maintaining liaison with agencies and professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily case notes, statistical data and program reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in a human or social service field.
• At least one year of experience working with children and youth with support needs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for travel between clubs.
• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
