In-Home Housekeeper & Caregiver

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate in‑home housekeeper to provide non‑medical support and companionship to clients in Langley. The role ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while assisting with daily living activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly home, including light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, bathroom cleaning, and laundry.
• Prepare and serve meals as directed and ensure the kitchen is tidy after each meal.
• Provide companionship through conversation, reading, and engaging in activities that promote mental alertness.
• Assist clients with phone calls, letter writing, and accompany them on walks, community outings, or appointments.
• Support clients in self‑administered medication according to company policy and report any changes in health or home situation to a supervisor.
• Document services provided and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid vulnerable sector police record check and ability to pass criminal, driving, reference, and random drug/alcohol screenings.
• Reliable transportation, driver’s licence and automobile insurance when required to drive.
• Ability to work independently in a client’s home while maintaining professional relationships with clients, families, and staff.
• Genuine concern for helping people, high moral standards, honesty and integrity.
