In-Home Housekeeper & Caregiver

About the role

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate, reliable individuals to provide non‑medical, in‑home support that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence for clients in Victoria. As a Housekeeper‑Caregiver you will combine light housekeeping with personal companionship to help seniors and vulnerable adults live safely in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, non‑medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well‑being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and bathroom cleaning.
• Prepare nutritious meals and observe any changes in a client’s condition.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education.

Required profile

• High school diploma (minimum requirement).
• Valid CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (preferred).
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to client care.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Genuine passion for helping others with high standards of honesty and integrity.

Required skills

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain).
• Ability to perform light physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 12 kg (25 lb).
