About the role
We are seeking a dedicated home child care provider to look after infants and children in a private household in Edmonton. The role involves daily care, hygiene, meal preparation, and supporting the emotional well‑being of the children.
Key responsibilities
- Change diapers and assist with toilet training following parents' guidance.
- Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and feed infants and children.
- Bathe, dress, and supervise rest periods for children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and organize games and outings.
- Maintain a safe, healthy environment and keep daily activity and health records.
- Discipline children according to parents' methods and support their social development.
- Assume full household responsibility in the parents' absence.
- Care for foster children as needed.
- Attend to the emotional well‑being of children throughout the day.
Required profile
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of child‑care experience.
