Import Coordinator (3PL/Freight Forwarding)

About the role

We are looking for an Import Coordinator to manage international imports by air, ocean and rail. You will act as the central point of contact for customers, carriers and customs brokers, ensuring smooth and compliant movement of goods into Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Quote agents and customers on international air and ocean imports.
• Arrange transport of cargo from customers to carriers.
• Process paperwork and submit documentation to customs brokers for clearance.
• Book air and ocean shipments and prepare all import documentation.
• Finalize files, calculate charges and revenue, and invoice clients.
• Track and trace shipments to their final destination.
• Communicate with international agents, commercial accounts, customs brokers and carriers via phone and email.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in import coordination or related logistics roles.
• Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain Management is an asset.
• Dangerous goods training and knowledge considered an asset.
• Familiarity with Canada customs importing practices and procedures.
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
