Hospitalist (Full & Part‑time)

About the role

Fraser Health is hiring Hospitalists for Eagle Ridge Hospital on both full‑time and part‑time schedules. The position focuses on acute‑care hospital medicine, working closely with an inter‑professional team to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Admit and manage patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP).
• Provide supportive care for surgical and specialty medical patients.
• Work independently with off‑site specialty support available by phone.
• Cover day and evening shifts consecutively for seven days, with mandatory overnight coverage proportional to weeks worked.

Required profile

• License or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• CCFP or FRCP (or equivalent) credentials; FRCPC is also acceptable.
• ACLS certification strongly recommended.
• Hospitalist experience, fellowship training, or membership in professional hospital‑medicine societies.
• Rural medicine experience is an asset.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and bedside‑manner skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• CCFP, FRCP or FRCPC credentials.
• Eligibility for CPSBC licensure.
