Hospital Telepharmacist (Remote)

About the role

NorthWest Telepharmacy Solutions (NTS) is seeking qualified Hospital Telepharmacists to deliver comprehensive pharmacy services to patients and healthcare providers in Quebec, New Brunswick, and Ontario. Working remotely, you will support under‑served hospitals and off‑peak periods by leveraging innovative telepharmacy technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and review drug orders, ensuring clinical appropriateness.
• Identify, assess, and resolve drug‑related problems.
• Complete medication reconciliation and provide clear medication advice.
• Implement new technologies to optimise pharmacy services.
• Develop and participate in research protocols and publications.
• Set up new clients for remote telepharmacy services.
• Train and mentor new staff members.
• Travel occasionally to hospital sites as required.
• Work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as needed.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec, Ontario, or New Brunswick College of Pharmacy.
• Minimum two years of front‑line clinical hospital experience.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Hospital residency or M.Sc. in advanced pharmacotherapy is an asset.
• Experience developing policies and procedures is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Familiarity with Adobe software.
