About the role
The Home Support Worker provides essential personal care and companionship to elderly or disabled clients in their own homes. This full‑time, permanent position involves assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and dressing.
- Assist with medication administration and monitor health status.
- Prepare, serve, and plan nutritious meals and therapeutic diets.
- Support regular exercise such as walking and encourage mobility.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in activities.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lb) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong punctuality, reliability, and client‑focused attitude.
- Clean criminal record and references required.
