About the role
This position provides in‑home health and personal care for elderly clients in a private household setting. The worker will support daily living activities, ensure medication compliance, and promote a safe, comfortable environment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and dressing.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor health status.
- Assist clients with regular exercise such as walking.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist with feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Provide companionship and accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
Required profile
- First Aid Certificate and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
- 1–2 years of experience in home health or personal care.
- Basic security clearance, references, and a medical exam.
- Physically able to handle up to 23 kg (50 lb) and perform demanding tasks.
- Strong punctuality, communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, patience, and honesty.
