Home Child Care Provider (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time position provides in‑home childcare for a family in Guelph. You will be responsible for the children’s safety, development, and daily routine while supporting the household.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children, including preparing meals, snacks, and nutritious food.
• Organize games, outings, and educational activities to promote social and personal development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment; perform light housekeeping and shopping for supplies.
• Discipline children according to parents’ guidelines and keep daily activity and health records.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bedtime routines, and emotional well‑being.
• Help children with homework and school assignments.
• Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Provide on‑call or shift coverage as needed.

Required profile

• Client‑focused with excellent oral communication.
• Flexible, patient, reliable, and honest.
• Good judgement, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to follow parents’ discipline methods and safety protocols.
• Experience of 1‑7 months in a similar childcare setting.
