High Voltage Project Manager

About the role

Spark Power is seeking a High Voltage Project Manager for its Belleville division to lead electrical testing, maintenance and commissioning projects across Central Ontario. The role involves close interaction with customers, vendors and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with clients, internal resources, vendors, subcontractors, ESA and utilities.
• Coordinate resources and third‑parties to ensure efficient project execution.
• Develop project scopes, objectives and detailed plans, tracking progress and managing changes.
• Measure performance using timelines, cost and scope metrics; report and escalate issues.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and negotiate additional work items.
• Evaluate technical staff performance and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Participate in branch budgeting, business planning and financial reviews.

Required profile

• 2+ years of project management experience in a high‑voltage electrical environment.
• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Experience developing preventative maintenance programs and equipment acceptance testing plans.
• Strong communication, negotiation and detail‑orientation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Electrical testing methods: Turns Ratio, Power Factor (Doble), VLF, Hipot, Winding resistance, Sweep Frequency.
• Protective relay testing, CT and PT testing, Infra‑Red scanning, power quality monitoring.
• Commissioning and maintenance of high‑voltage equipment.
• Project planning, scope management and cost control.
