Health & Safety Coordinator

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to lead on‑site safety initiatives across its infrastructure projects in Ontario. You will ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture among all staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor workplace practices to ensure alignment with company standards, industry benchmarks, and local regulations.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, enforce controls, and support incident investigations with root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of safety trends and regulatory changes (e.g., OSHA).
• Assist in preparing for external audits and regulatory inspections.

Required profile

• Strong collaboration skills to work with managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Ability to promote a safety‑first mindset throughout the organization.
• Experience in managing safety documentation and reporting.
