Health and Safety Coordinator

About the role

Techo-Bloc, a manufacturer with 9 facilities, 13+ distribution centres and over 900 employees across North America, is looking for a motivated, curious and proactive Health and Safety Coordinator. You will work on the production floor at the Saint-Hubert and Chambly sites, learning directly in the field and helping teams apply health and safety best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in workplace inspections and prevention activities on the production floor
• Support teams in applying health and safety best practices
• Help follow up corrective and preventive actions
• Contribute to organizing and following up health and safety committee meetings
• Assist with the administrative management of CNESST and health and safety files
• Take part in incident investigations and root cause analysis with the H&S team
• Help prepare and deliver health and safety training sessions
• Take part in internal audits and inspections with guidance and support
• Keep health and safety documentation up to date and monitor PPE compliance
• Work with production, HR and operations teams on health and safety initiatives
• Travel regularly between Saint-Hubert and Chambly (vehicle required)

Required profile

• University degree in Health and Safety, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or a related field
• 0 to 3 years of experience in health and safety or in a manufacturing environment
• Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written
• Comfortable with standard computer tools such as MS Word and MS Excel
• Physical demands: frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds (23 kg); a mix of sitting, standing and walking
