Guest Services Associate

About the role

The Guest Services Associate ensures the property’s quality, cleanliness, and service standards are consistently maintained. Working at Microtel Inn & Suites in Kanata, you will be the primary point of contact for guests, handling check‑ins, check‑outs, and a wide range of service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate check‑ins and check‑outs, paying close attention to detail.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, queries, and complaints.
• Provide guests with local information, restaurant recommendations, and transportation options.
• Operate front‑desk equipment, including the reservation system, switchboard, key‑card machines, and office copiers.
• Complete delegated paperwork, basic accounting tasks, and data processing.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure seamless operations and guest safety.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a customer‑service‑oriented role.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Positive, team‑player attitude with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and flexible shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with general office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners.
• Ability to operate a hotel reservation system and key‑card issuance equipment.
