Graphics Coordinator (Freelance)

About the role

Scarab Digital is seeking a freelance Graphics Coordinator to act as the bridge between production teams and designers on film and television projects. The role focuses on turning loose briefs into clear, actionable plans, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring on‑screen graphics meet story and production requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Read scripts, break down on‑screen graphic needs and create detailed scopes, timelines, and staffing plans.
• Develop creative briefs that give designers the assets and direction they need.
• Coordinate with clients, production staff, and designers to gather assets, approvals, and missing information.
• Assign artists with the appropriate skill mix, track budgets, schedules, and revision cycles across multiple builds.
• Review work for story alignment, clarity, continuity, and production readiness before delivery.
• Submit graphics for clearance, gather feedback and communicate direction back to the design team.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset – able to turn ambiguous briefs into clear plans.
• Excellent communication under pressure, acting as the connective tissue between production, clients, and designers.
• Ability to protect budget and schedule while elevating creative quality.
• Comfort with fast‑paced environments, multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project‑management tools such as Wrike.
• Hands‑on experience using Illustrator.
• Familiarity with Protopie for UI/FUI prototyping.
