Graphic Designer Co-op

About the role

TTI Canada Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of power tools, outdoor power equipment, floorcare products, hand tools and accessories, is looking for a full-time Graphic Designer Co-op in Toronto. The co-op joins the Milwaukee Tool brand team and supports creative work across print, digital, packaging and promotional materials, with mentorship and hands-on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Keep designs consistent with Milwaukee Tool brand guidelines
• Create on-brand designs for print collateral, digital assets, packaging and promotional materials
• Help design layouts and visuals for digital ads, social media, web banners, presentations, brochures and flyers
• Collaborate with designers, marketers and partners to understand project needs and audiences
• Take part in brainstorming and give creative input
• Review and proofread designs for accuracy and consistency
• Maintain organized design files and help with the Digital Asset Management platform
• Assist with photo and video coordination for select projects
• Learn to manage several small to mid-size projects with guidance

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a college or university graphic design program
• Portfolio showing creativity, visual design skills and design fundamentals
• Experience with graphic design through coursework, internships, freelance work or personal projects
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, communication and organization

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Familiarity with After Effects or motion design tools is a plus
• Understanding of typography, layout and color theory
• Exposure to 3D rendering, animation or photography is a bonus
