Graduate Student Assistant

About the role

The Teaching and Academic Programs (TAP) unit at McGill University seeks a graduate student assistant to support instructor‑focused programming and a variety of teaching‑and‑learning projects. This part‑time role (approximately 10 hours per week) begins on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 and offers hands‑on experience in higher‑education development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update, and provide feedback on program materials and resource documents.
• Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans to inform project design.
• Communicate with facilitators, participants, and other stakeholders.
• Summarize information for planning and evaluation purposes.
• Create and administer data‑gathering instruments such as surveys and interview guides, and assist with analysis.
• Support the design and delivery of teaching‑support activities, including workshops and learning exchanges.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in a PC environment with word‑processing and spreadsheet applications.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Forms, Lists).
